- Brian Moore has recently published a review of the unique audiometric characteristics of hearing loss demonstrated by noise-exposed military veterans. Moore, Brian C.J. (2020). - NIOSH researchers, along with a world-wide consortium of colleagues, have published an evaluation of ISO Standard 1999 (2013) predictions of noise-induced permanent threshold shift (NIPTS) in workers exposed to various types of high-intensity noise levels, and the role of the kurtosis metric in assessing noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). Virginia Issues Mandatory COVID-19 Safety Rule
Virginia’s State OSHA Program is the first state-administered program to issue a mandatory COVID-19 safety rule for general workplaces. This emergency temporary standard, 16VAC25-220, became effective July 27, 2020. Guidance from federal OSHA may be accessed via the COVID-19 topic page. |
