Outstanding Poster Award

Established in 1997, the Outstanding Poster Award is given for the best poster presentation at the annual conference of NHCA. The purpose of the award is to provide additional incentive to poster presenters to deliver high-quality, interesting, informative and polished posters. An additional purpose of the OPA is to encourage authors to provide high-quality handouts to accompany their poster presentation for inclusion in the Conference Binder/Proceedings. The handout may be reduced-size version of the poster, or may be a supporting paper.  All poster presenters except the Annual Conference Task Force Chair are eligible for this award. It was first presented to David Preves.

The recipient of the award will receive a check for $150.00 and a certificate acknowledging the achievement within one month of the tabulation of votes, and an announcement of the award in the issue of Spectrum immediately subsequent to the meeting. The recipient will also be announced at the subsequent conference and, if present, she/he will be acknowledged.

The OPA Winner will be selected by a ballot of conference attendees, using the evaluation forms submitted by the close of the conference.  All conference attendees who are registered for the entire conference are eligible to vote by rating their top four poster selections.
